We understand the allure – the hypoallergenic filters you see in the big box stores promise everything from cleaner air to reduced allergens. And they’re not wrong.

They’re just probably wrong for you.

Those hypoallergenic filters are made of restrictive materials that are designed to capture dust and other particles. And they do a good job. Sometimes too good of a job. Unless your return duct system is designed to handle the increased restriction of those filters, you’ll be starving your system of air, increasing your static pressure, potentially causing freeze ups, reducing system efficiency, and many other issues.

If you need enhanced filtration, we can help with that by installing electronic air cleaners, specialized filter media, and even enlarging your duct system to accommodate all of this.
